You will go through one traffic circle, across a bridge, and at the next circle take the first exit: Route 17 towards Camden and Rockland. Go 1/4 mile and take one more left at the traffic light. Go about 20 miles and look on the left for signs for Vigue Brothers and C&S Market as you approach Route 220. Continue with the directions below from the corner of Routes 17 and 220. Not as quick but worth every minute for its views of coastal Maine and its route through some of Maine's most picturesque seacoast villages: Route 95 to Scenic Route 1 north. You can get on Route 1 either just south of Freeport (if you want to shop at LL Bean, etc.) or further north at Brunswick. You will ride through Bath and Wiscasset, around the town of Damariscotta and then - in about 10 miles - past the sign announcing the town of Waldoboro. The famous Moody's Diner will be on the right, Route 220 on the left. You will see the sign for Bodacious Breads on the west. Take a left on Route 220 and follow it about 10 miles to the Stop Sign at Route 17. Go straight across Route 17 and continue with the following directions: From the corner of Routes 220 and 17: Take Route 220 (north) about two miles into the town of Washington. You will first bear RIGHT then LEFT, past Silvia's Market and up the hill. Go approximately 1.5 miles until you see the white and green "Conductors Retreat at Medomak" sign on your right at the entrance to the Medomak Retreat Center. This entrance is approximately one-half mile beyond an entrance to your left to another part of the Medomak Retreat Center. Follow signs to a parking area and to the location for registration.
