Gala Free Concert

Thirty conductors will lead the Conductors Retreat Symphony Orchestra in the annual final concert at Medomak Family Camp, 178 Liberty Rd., Washington, Maine.  The program will include:

BRAHMS            Symphony No. 4

BEETHOVEN      Symphony No. 7

BARBER            Knoxville, Summer of 1915, with Jennifer Bates, soprano

TCHAIKOVSKY   Serenade for Strings

 

Conductors of all ages and levels of experience come to the Conductors Retreat at Medomak from Canada, Europe, Asia, Latin America and all parts of the U.S. to take part in this renowned and intensive summer program, now in its 23rd season. The Retreat is known for its holistic approach, which develops the conducting skills, artistic sensibilities and personal leadership attributes of conductors who learn to be of greater service to their communities and the musical organizations they lead.  This concert is the culmination of their Retreat experience.  

Indoor seating is limited and on a first come, first served basis.  The conductors and orchestra musicians look forward to welcoming the public.  There is no admission charge, and everyone is welcome.  

The concert will begin at 2:00 and it will end before 5:00.  Concertgoers are welcome to come to all or part of the concert.  Please join us and bring your family and friends.
