The Conductors Retreat at Medomak provides a setting and an opportunity for conductors to devote time to themselves, their work and their individual needs as conductors, whether for study, work on score-reading or ear-training, technique, centering and movement, or a combination of these and other elements.

The Retreat is ideal for the busy professional whose time is in demand, and who may benefit from an opportunity to renew, refine, refocus and recharge.  The Retreat is also a training ground for young conductors and offers important work on score study, and training of the ear and body.  The Conductors Retreat at Medomak offers an experience which enhances, complements and enriches the conductor's music-making.

Our goal is to help conductors learn skills and refine techniques which can apply to a broad range of repertoire and which can influence their score study and conducting throughout their musical lives.

The 2008 application deadline has passed, however applications submitted now will be received and considered, as a few positions occasionally become available during the weeks prior to the beginning of the Conductors Retreat. If you have any questions, please send an e-mail to info@conductorsretreat.org.
